Welcome to the Hobby Acres Farm Help Center. Below you will find a collection of some of the most frequently asked questions about our Chicken Farm. HOW DO YOU PACK EGGS FOR SHIPPING?
We wrap each egg in soft cloth or bubble wrap then place them in an egg container that is also wrapped in bubble wrap before shipping in a USPS Priority Box. We use tape marked 'fragile' and place 'hatching eggs - no x ray' stickers on the outside of the box. We do our best to make sure your eggs get to you intact.
WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY SHIPMENT?
If you're purchasing merchandise, please expect to receive your shipment within 7-10 business days.
If you're purchasing farm-fresh eggs, please expect to receive your shipment within 3-5 business days.
If you're purchasing fertile hatching eggs, please know that we do not stock pile and 'inventory' fertile eggs for long periods of time to avoid damaging the fertility of each egg. We collect and inspect fertile eggs daily and will ship when we have enough for your order (usually within a few days of receiving your order). Spring is the busiest time for us (actually our hens) so please bear with us if we do not ship out your eggs right away because it could take a few weeks to get your eggs out the do
Please know that we only ship fertile eggs on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Do you sex Silkie chicks?
We sell our silkie chicks as straight-run only.
